Marietta, GA, September 28, 2016 – Mark your calendars. Winter Wonderland is returning to the Marietta Square beginning November 18 with ice-skating in Glover Park. Viewing areas have been expanded and great care has been given to see that the experience is exceptional. Due to the overwhelming response last year, ice-skating is currently planned to be available through January and February.
The Winter Wonderland website, winterwonderlandmarietta.com, will be live October 3. Families will now have the option of booking their Santa visit online, and walkups will still be welcome. Kids can spend time with the big man himself, as Santa will be meeting and greeting kids from his southern outpost in Glover Park.
The anticipation continues to build December 1st when Santa arrives and the great tree is lit to signal the countdown to the big day.
The season’s events will culminate with a New Year’s Eve family-focused extravaganza. Attendees can write resolutions on the Resolution Wall, play putt-putt golf, browse food trucks, and even test their skill in an escape room experience. From ice-carving contests to roaming magicians, the Marietta Square will be bustling with activities and entertainment options for all ages. After the sun goes down the adult celebration begins. Live music and a surprise drop will ring in a great New Year in style. Many local restaurants will have promotions for the big event, so make your dinner reservations now.
The Marietta Square is enjoyed year-round for its entertainment and hospitality, but especially so during Winter Wonderland.
